FREE THANKSGIVING DINNER IN POLLOCK PINES
The 17th annual FREE Community Thanksgiving Dinner will be held at the Pollock Pines-Camino Community Center from Noon until 4 PM on Thanksgiving Day, November 27, 2008. This will be a traditional Turkey Dinner with all the trimmings, fresh salads and vegetables, and an assortment of desserts to top off your dining experience. We have much to be thankful for in El Dorado County and this is a time to share our bounty and be with friends, no one should be alone on this special day. There is no charge however donations will be accepted at the door. This event cannot take place without the support and donations of local community individuals, organizations and businesses. If you would like to contribute to this event, please send cash donations to the Pollock Pines-Camino Community Center Association, P. O. Box 1195, Pollock Pines, CA 95726. Contributions of turkeys and hams will also be gratefully accepted. Volunteers are needed to prep and cook food, set-up, serve and cleanup during this event. Volunteers will be available to deliver meals to those unable to attend the dinner. Names and addresses will be accepted at the Community Center Office between 10 a.m. and 3 p.m. beginning Monday, November 24th through Thanksgiving Day.
