Celebrating, Making History, and Serving Community

The community of Pollock Pines has a long and colorful history dating back to Native Americans who lived in the region and, for centuries called it home. The population grew as families discovered the natural beauty of the region and chose to make their homes in a setting that provided access to the outdoors as well as opportunities for work and recreation.

In 1991, the  Pollock Pines Community Center became the area's hub for activities, meetings, entertainment, and events that bring people together and create community.

And just as important, the Center has served the community through emergencies such as Cleveland Fire in 1992, and became a communications command center during natural disasters during challenging times.

The Center also provides opportunities for celebrations and fun activities. Pollock Pines is a popular stopping point for the annual Wagon Train journey from Roundhill, Nevada to Placerville. In fact, the Train makes a stop in the Center's spacious parking area!

We offer facility rentals. We also host festivals, craft fairs, musical performances, and presentations that bring families and visitors together to celebrate and enjoy.

We strive to make people welcome and provide opportunities for a spread-out community to access a central location for fun and enjoyment, and to meet neighbors.  On the serious side, the Center serves as a hub and shelter when the community is threatened by weather or other dangers.

We hope to welcome you to The Pollock Pines-Camino Community Center where friends meet and families share their regard for Mother Nature's many gifts.
