The Pollock Pines-Camino Community Center, in partnership with Motherlode Timbersport, will host the Logging Days celebration and competition on Saturday July 18th, from 10am to 4 pm at 2675 Sanders Drive in Pollock Pines. The event will feature Pro and amateur competitions using stock and modified chainsaws, old style peg and raker saws and axes. In addition, there will be boxing on a log and tug of war.

 

Sign up in person at 8am on the morning of the competition at the community center. Top three competitors will win cash prizes based on their overall accumulation of points. competitors pay an entry fee per event: Pros $20, Pro-Am $25, AM $30. There must be three competitors to hold each event.

The event opens to the public at 10 am with competitions, craft vendors and a raffle. Lunch will start at 11 am. There will be BBQ hamburgers, hot dogs with all the fixings, salad, and chips served outside. The saloon will offer beer, wine, margaritas and sodas until 4pm. There will be over 25 quality raffle prizes to win at the end of the day.

Proceeds from the BBQ, vendors and raffle help support the Pollock Pines-Camino Community Center activities, beneficial to the local community.
